ELBOW ORTHESIS

Elbow orthoses are supportive products used in painful conditions of the elbow, fractures and dislocations, and post-operative situations. The aim is to restrict movement, provide complete immobility when necessary, and support recovery. There are also orthoses that allow the joint movement to be clear in case of injury or limitation of movement after surgery. Physician should choose the appropriate orthosis for the patients.

Wrist splints restrict movement and provide comfort to the patient with their ergonomic support.

The most important causes of elbow pain;

  • Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis)
  • Golfer's elbow (medial epicondylitis)
  • Olecranon bursitis
  • Elbow dislocation (dislocation)
  • Arthritis and infection of the elbow joint are less common.

Where Used:

  • Traumas, tissue crushing (contusion)
  • Bursit
  • Joint swelling

Epicondylitis bands reduce pain by creating pressure.

  • Lateral epikondilit
  • Medial epikondilit

Contracture orthoses and adjustable jointed orthoses are used in joint movement limitation, providing full range of elbow motion.

  • Conditions that develop restriction of movement or contracture after trauma or surgery

Shoulder Orthoses

Shoulder Orthoses and Shoulder StrapsShoulder orthoses are supportive products used in painful conditions of the shoulder, fractures and dislocations, and post-operative situations. The aim is to limit movement, to provide complete immobility when necessary, to carry the weight of the arm and to support healing. Physician should choose the appropriate orthosis for the patients.

Arm Slings provide comfort and support to the patient.

Where Used:

  • Humeral fractures
  • Shoulder injuries
  • Situations where stabilization of the arm is required
  • Plastered conditions of the arm

Arm Abduction Orthoses keep the arm in abduction and support the healing of the shoulder structures in the most appropriate position.

Where Used:

  • After various surgeries, including rotator cuff surgeries
  • After shoulder trauma
  • Arm bone fractures

Shoulder Stabilizer Orthoses are orthoses that support the shoulder of the paralyzed arm and stabilize it in the appropriate position. It plays an important role in preventing shoulder dislocation and making it easier for the patient to perform other rehabilitation works such as gait training. It reduces pain.

Where Used:

  • Stabilization of the paralyzed side shoulder in stroke

The Velpau Bandage provides immobilization of the shoulder and arm. Limits rib cage movement.

The Clavicle Bandage fixes the collarbone.
